What is the typical project size Beacon will do work on?
Beacon has worked on projects as small as 1 opening and projects with hundreds of openings. We also provide commercial bathroom accessories and partitions for projects large and small. If you have questions, feel free to contact us for a free consultation.
What’s your average lead time for doors and frames?
Lead times vary by project size and specification. Typical stock and standard configurations are fulfilled faster than custom builds. Contact us with your schedule and we’ll outline the quickest path. With Beacon's custom fab shop, we can have your order ready in days instead of waiting weeks on the factory.

What makes Beacon different from other door distributors?
Beacon is an innovative company that has invested a lot of resources into delivering the best results on projects. We have the equipment and technology to provide solutions to some of the toughest challenges facing general contractors and building owners. Frames can be built and welded within days instead of weeks. Our doors can be prepped inhouse for almost any hardware configuration. We track onsite install progress using our install tracking app that provides pictures and updates of each opening on a project. Our pre-install line is second to none in the industry. Do you provide locksmith services?
Yes, we have a locksmith inhouse that can provide key duplicating services as well as new key systems.
Do you offer pre-installation services?
Yes. Our preinstall service preps frames, hardware, and components so your on site crew can move faster with fewer trades to coordinate.
How far can you ship pre-installed doors?
The farthest we have shipped pre-installed doors out of our facility in Salt Lake City, UT was to a project in Hawaii. The doors had to be shipped via truck, train, and boat and the 60+ doors arrived with no damage.
Do you sell to homeowners or just commercial clients?
We focus on commercial clients, GCs, and facility teams. If you’re a homeowner with a commercial spec, reach out and we’ll advise next steps.
What areas do you serve?
Beacon is headquartered in Salt Lake City, UT, USA. We perform work along the Wasatch Front and also do work in Idaho, Wyoming, and Nevada. Some of our projects have taken us all over the country and even international.
Do you ship outside of Utah?
Yes. We fulfill regional and national projects. Share your delivery location and we’ll confirm transit options and timelines.
Do you have stock products that are available for pickup?
Yes, we stock a variety of division 8 and 10 products that are ready to pick up or deliver.
Which hardware brands do you offer?
We are distributors of many of the most common brands in door hardware including Allegion (Schlage, Von Duprin, LCN, Ives, Falcon), Dormakaba (Best, Stanley), Assa Abloy (Norton-Rixon, Mckinney, Rockwood, Pemko), NGP, PDQ, Hager, and more. If there is a specific product you're after we can usually help you track it down.
Do you provide custom frames?
Yes, we can build custom frames in almost any jamb depth and most opening sizes.
Do you carry loose anchors for hollow metal frames?
Yes, we carry many of the standard anchor types such as wood stud anchors, steel stud anchors, and masonry anchors.
Do you provide electronic hardware for access control?
Yes, we can provide hardware that requires keycard access, punch code access, and even smart phone access.
Do you allow potential customers to tour your facilities?
